One Family,
One Passion,
for almost 40 Years.

“It has been such a joy to bring so much love & companionship to so many homes, families, & individuals over the years.”
~ Joel Almaroad

When my oldest son, Aaron, was about 12 years old, he and his brother Adam wanted a dog. We live on a farm in Madison, IN. Each son had chores they did every day, like bringing in wood to burn in our wood stove and emptying the trash. Allowing them to own a pet, I saw as an opportunity to teach them more about responsibility. Thus began my adventure into raising dogs. Our first two golden retrievers, Razzle and Dazzle, were purchased and the rest is history as they say...over 30 years of it.

The income from selling puppies was invested in our children's college education. After college, they each married and along came the grandchildren. We have 12 and the quiver is full. The puppies are the highlight of the grandchildren's visits to "Da" and Grandmother's house.

After a few years, Boxers were added to the Almaroad Kennel, and then Irish Setters. What started out as a teaching experience for my boys had become my hobby.

But my real "work" is ministering at Grace Baptist Church in Madison, IN. I have pastored there for 50 years. My church website may be found at: www.gracebaptistchurchmadisonindiana.com.

The Bible says in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Verse 17 goes on to say, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..."

My wife Sandra and I have 3 children, Aaron, Adam, and Charis. Add to them our 2 daughter-in-laws, Lanisa and Abby, and son-in-law, Joel, and grandchildren through the years and we have become a family of 16. We are very blessed to be a close family although many miles separate us.
